A bit about Alan:
Scottish, male living in Dumfries, Scotland Scotland.
Born: Tuesday, 01 January 1952. 26,416 Days ago!

Living in Dumfries with wife and two children, doing up old listed building, lived in London for over twenty years (Harrow and Stratford) working for Daily Mail/Mail on Sunday then came back to Scotland when the axe fell, bought hotel in highlands, hated it (spot the customer during foot and mouth), moved to Dumfries. Revisited Ma'anit in 2001 with my family (still backpacking), big changes, no more volunteers (cant get them), huts A and B (snobs) gone, new leisure centre and factory. Best bit my old workmate the electrician Israel was still alive (now sadly gone), was well into his eighties and still did some part time work. Dining room now using zip cards. Had Saturday night dinner, still the same, remember? Still go to gym after all these years, some good habits gained on the Kibbutz, wish the diet was the same. Just changed my email on here after years with a discontinued address so any messages will get to me now. Still in touch with Elaine Lodge and Danish John.

Before you die you must... sweep the stairs to the bomb shelter from the bottom upwards and not get annoyed because that is how you have been told to do it.
