I went to Israel in 1979 from Omaha, NE then lived in California many years, thanks to Jeffery Kamins suggestion to check out Santa Cruz. I spent the year in Hatzor with Jackie Katz Teplitz, Jill Cooper, Howard Dunaier, Jeffrey Kamins and such an amazing group of folks! Life has been good, Kibbutz was an amazing experience and I can still speak fluent Hebrew. I think about the Hevrei Kibbutz and hope that all is well with you. Kol tuv, v'Hayim Tovim!
